Winter 2025 Update

Category

With all the news around Agentic Commerce and Stablecoin this year, it was a privilege to attend Electronic Transactions Association (ETA)’s Senior Leadership Forum, LA, in October, hearing first-hand what we might expect and how to ready ourselves from Technical, Regulatory and Talent perspectives.

The quality of the speakers from Visa, Google and US Regulators made for some thought-provoking insights, great Q&A from the facilitators and much to talk about beyond the sessions!

In sharp contrast to the mass of conferences we are urged to attend, the intimate nature of ETA’s event provided a welcoming environment, ensuring senior leaders were in attendance to listen to the scale and pace of transformation required when they land back into their organisations, both in the US and internationally!

Since 2024, we have already seen the change in talent skills required by our US clients, pivoting their organisations to address dramatically changing requirements from their customers and regulators, as well as the disruptive competitive landscape. The Schemes are already rolling out tokenisation, authentication and transaction instructions allowing AI-powered agents to shop and pay on behalf of their customers, across a wide range of domestic and leisure tasks.

It feels like North America is ahead and taking the lead on addressing these new behaviours towards purchasing – the rate of change and roll-out of new regulation and products is speeding up, facilitated by the successful on-boarding of new skills and creativity into the talent mix. The subsidiaries of North American corporates lead the way in Europe, and whilst we try to stem the flow of young high potential talent heading East, we must be cognisant of what is needed to invest, attract and retain future leaders in the UK and Europe.

Whilst Greenings has an unsurpassed sourcing network across Payments and FinTech globally, we too have supplemented our Research approach with several AI powered tools, enabling rapid identification of skills and talents from parallel sectors, across the globe.  These tools have seen us deliver successful Searches in record timings, from Atlanta to London to Tokyo and back…

Whilst caution needs to be applied from Regulatory and Security perspectives, I am excited by the insights presented and discussed with our clients attending ETA, that they will lead the way on a new chapter for consumer engagement across the globe!

Industry Hires

Our delivery for NCR Voyix (NCRV) during 2025 has been a prime example where clients have sought to tap into high quality talent working in Technology/Platform businesses, typically from Texas and West Coast and to deploy those skills across their US and International business units.

Our Atlanta based team utilised traditional referral and AI technologies to find Japanese nationals, fluent in Japanese and English, with the pre-requisite Professional Service, Sales and Finance skills, willing to relocate back to Japan from the US. On the face of it these were difficult searches – I am pleased to say they were delivered at pace with all candidates being placed from the 1st Shortlist – thanks also to the NCRV team for their amazing engagement at every stage too!

Subraya Shenoy

Completing our 3rd placement for NCRV’s Tokyo Office, Subraya brings more than two decades of experience across digital transformation, consulting-led sales, and IT solutioning, with a rare blend of technical depth and commercial insight. Fluent in Japanese and English, Subraya has spent nearly 20 years partnering with leading Japanese enterprises, whom he will continue to support with the innovative platform updates arriving at NCRV.
