The Future of DE&I – Project Nemo
April marked the commencement of Project Nemo, a ground-breaking initiative to enhance disability inclusion within the FinTech industry.
Greenings is proud to be a partner of Project Nemo, pioneered by Joanne Dewar, which aims to bring about long-lasting change over a 12-month period. It focuses on increasing awareness, providing FinTech leaders with the tools and knowledge required to foster inclusive workplaces, and celebrating achievements along the way.
Key points include the significant economic potential of nearly 16 million disabled people in the UK, who represent a spending power of approximately £274 billion annually. This demographic is also frequently overlooked as valuable employees, offering unique skills particularly beneficial in sectors like technology and creative industries, enhancing productivity and innovation.
Project Nemo will feature a ‘FinTech Festival of Inclusion,’ a series of workshops culminating in a comprehensive e-book and podcast series. These resources aim to guide industry leaders in implementing practical changes to make their businesses more inclusive.
To get involved or learn more, visit the Project Nemo website, follow them on social media, or participate in the initiative directly. Simple commitments, like making your workplace or services more accessible, can make a significant impact by contributing to a more inclusive society and boosting the industry’s future.
