On Monday 23rd September, we held a celebration evening at Trinity House, London. Hosted by Shelley Jory-Leigh, British & World Record Powerboat Champion, honoured guests included Her Excellency Fleur Thomas, First Sea Lord, Admiral Sir Ben Key and Captain Sir Ian McNaught.
Friends from the last 25 years came together, having travelled from as far as Atlanta, Milwaukee and several European destinations, in most cases known to the business for at least 15 years, whether as former candidates, clients or partners from legal and private equity firms.
Speeches were led by Sir Ian, introducing guests to Trinity House and his life as Captain aboard the QE2, followed by Souheil Badran who, at the time of first meeting with Greenings, was with Digital River, and finally the principal speaker, the First Sea Lord, who also led the Loyal Toast.
Notable industry guests singled out for a special first encounter with Greenings, whether by hiring, geography or funding included Tim Jones CBE (1st Payments client), Fabio Giuseppetti (1st PE client) and Myles Stephenson (1st Payments placement).
The evening concluded with an after-dinner cheese and port tasting, led by Tim Killen (Tim’s Vino Ventures), before carriages at 1100hrs. The evening was immaculately choreographed by Jamie Wallis, Toastmaster.

Excerpts from Andrew’s speech included:-
Having brought many guests into Payments for the 1st time, fast forward 25 years, it seems incredible to be helping many realise the value in the businesses they have created, now placing them on Boards, even seeing some of you retire early!
This was the journey and ambition in setting up Greenings, as described to Jacqueline at the outset – the reward of seeing people grow and supporting them through multiple phases of their careers – VALUE THROUGH PEOPLE – our founding mantra, and still as relevant today…
The careers of those in the room have built an industry, no longer back-office processing, Payments is now front and centre as an enabling service, a wealth creator at so many levels and importantly, an exciting career choice for future generations!
BUT – none of this would have been possible without some great colleagues over the years…special thanks are paid to Lui Mendus-Edwards, Karen Lang and Fiona Batt. Our Consultants and Advisors provide outstanding delivery and market insights to clients around the world – thank you for your expertise, service and fabulous spirit!
With the common connection of Greenings, the scene is set for everyone to enjoy one another’s company this evening and for many more years to come!
